Gator Outdoor Living was born from a dream, a lot of hard work, and a deep belief that anything is possible when faith, family, and determination come together.
In the early 2000s, founder Marcelo Diniz was working as an employee in the brick paver industry. Every day on the job, he developed not only technical knowledge but also a passion for creating outdoor spaces that would transform the way families live and enjoy their homes.
Over time, a vision began to grow in his heart—and in the heart of his wife, Neicy. What started as a dream slowly became a plan, and that plan eventually became Gator Interlocking Pavers.
Through years of dedication, sacrifice, and countless hours of work, the company continued to grow. Marcelo often joked when introducing himself at conferences and networking events that he worked with precious stones. People would naturally ask what kind of precious stones he was referring to, and his answer was always the same:
"Brick Pavers."
To many, they were simply construction materials. To him, they represented opportunity, purpose, and the foundation upon which he was building his family's future. Those "precious stones" helped provide for his household, support his dreams, and create a business that would serve homeowners throughout Florida.
For more than a decade, Gator Interlocking Pavers focused on what it did best: installing high-quality brick pavers for driveways, pool decks, patios, and walkways. During those years, the company built a strong reputation, earned the trust of its customers, and gained invaluable experience in the outdoor construction industry.
As the years passed, Marcelo and Neicy realized that they were doing much more than installing pavers. They were helping families create places to gather, celebrate milestones, spend time together, and enjoy life outdoors. Their projects were no longer just about hardscapes—they were about creating experiences.
With that realization came a larger vision. The knowledge acquired through years of hands-on work revealed that outdoor living could be transformed through much more than pavers alone. Pergolas, outdoor kitchens, artificial turf, pool renovations, fire features, screen enclosures, and custom-designed outdoor environments all became part of a bigger mission: creating complete outdoor living spaces.
That vision led to one of the most important milestones in the company's history: the transition from Gator Interlocking Pavers to Gator Outdoor Living. The new name reflected not only what the company did, but what it had become.
During this journey, Marcelo and Neicy raised their two daughters, Ashley and Kathleen. They grew up alongside the company, witnessing firsthand the values of hard work, integrity, commitment, faith, and perseverance that became the foundation of Gator Outdoor Living.
For many years, this business helped support their family, provide opportunities, and turn dreams into reality. It became more than a company—it became part of the family's story.
As the years passed, Gator Outdoor Living continued to earn the trust and respect of clients, employees, suppliers, and partners by staying committed to one simple principle: always do the right thing and deliver excellence in every project.
Five years ago, another important chapter began when Herivelton Alves joined the company as a partner. Sharing the same values, vision, and commitment to excellence, he became an essential part of Gator's growth and future. He embraced the company's mission, understood its culture, and helped strengthen the foundation for the next stage of growth.
Today, Gator Outdoor Living enters a new era with the opening of its showroom—a milestone that represents much more than a new location. It is the result of years of hard work, faith, sacrifice, and dedication. The showroom is a symbol of everything the company has built and everything it plans to become. It represents growth, innovation, professionalism, and a commitment to delivering an even greater experience to every client who walks through its doors.
This is not the finish line. It is the next step of our journey.
